Halloween is a serious business in Floridas Theme Parks, and theyll go to any lengths to make their festivities the biggest, best and of course, scarier than anything youve seen before!

If youre visiting Florida this October, check out the celebrations going on at these parks and prepare yourself for some screamingly good fun!

SeaWorld’s Halloween Spooktacular

This family-friendly event at SeaWorld features an ocean of Halloween fun! Children can trick-or-treat, dance with whimsical sea creatures, enjoy silly and spooky shows and create sea-themed arts and crafts. Expect to meet friendly sea witches, octopuses, mermaids, pumpkin fish and many more colourful characters as you make your way through the event!

Seaworlds Halloween Shows and Activities include:

Trick-or-Treat Sweets Sesame Street’s Countdown to Halloween Live Musical Stage Show Penelopes Party Zone with interactive ice DJ, interactive games and activities Fun-loving, fanciful sea creatures to greet, mingle, and play.

SeaWorlds Halloween Spooktacular takes place every weekend in October 2012 from 12pm – 8pm. The festivities are included with your SeaWorld tickets.

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Walt Disney World Resort

Not a fan of the scary stuff? Then Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is for you! Guests of all ages are encouraged to dress up in their favourite Halloween costumes and collect delicious candy as they trick-or-treat around the Magic Kingdom theme park.

You can enjoy all kinds of special entertainment Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, including:

Mickey’s Boo-to-You Halloween Parade-including Disney Characters and the stars of the Haunted Mansion attraction. The parade begins with a spook-tacular ride by the Headless Horseman. Happy HalloWishes-a spectacular fireworks show where the Disney Villains go trick-or-treating in the sky. Meet your favourite Disney Characters and Villains in their special Halloween costumes. Special lighting, music and theming effects transforms special areas of Magic Kingdom theme park into happy haunted hollows.

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is appropriate for children of all ages and is held on select dates in Magic Kingdom theme park. Purchase of an additional event admission ticket on top of your Disney Park tickets is required to attend the party.

Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando Resort

Prepare to be scared out of your mind as your worst nightmares come to life and every turn takes you into a new realm of terror. Whether youre in the houses or out on the streets, nowhere is safe and theres nowhere to hide..

Halloween Horror Nights is a one-of-a-kind event which sees Universal Studios Florida theme park transformed into a nightmarish labyrinth of horrifically haunted houses, spine-chilling street experiences and electrifying live shows, drawing hundreds of thousands of horror fans from around the globe every year.

Halloween Horror Nights takes place at Universal Orlando Resort on October 4, 5, 7, 11, 12, 14, 17, 18, 19, 21, 24, 25, 26, 28 and 31.

Busch Gardens Howl-O-Scream

Welcome to the Dark Side of the Gardens! As the sun goes down the park will be transformed with haunted houses, scare zones, live music, and Halloween-themed shows.

Busch Gardens scare-tastic celebrations are definitely not for the faint-hearted! Crazed circus clowns roam around the Circus of Superstition, and The Creature runs rampant having escaped from a high-security asylum for the criminally insane.

Visit the Alone Maze for a very personal experience in horror, or enter the old Nightshade Toy Factory, filled with diabolical dolls, terrible teddy bears and possessed playthings that will stop at nothing to devour the humans that have enslaved them for so long

Howl-O-Scream takes place every Thursday to Saturday in the lead-up to Halloween Purchase of an additional event admission ticket is required, which are available in-resort.
