Excitement levels are reaching their peak as the VIP Preview of the new Diagon Alley area at Universal Orlando’s Wizarding World of Harry Potter gets closer and closer!

Opening up the invitation itself was exciting enough – this bad boy arrived complete with a Gringotts bank cheque (which unfortunately cannot be exchanged for Muggle currency), a special Gringotts gold bullion (the value of which we have yet to confirm….) and a ticket for travel to the new London area on the Hogwarts Express.

That’s right – this time next week we’ll be riding the Hogwarts Express!! Departing from Hogsmeade Station in Universal’s Islands of Adventure, the train will be transporting guests to the new Kings Cross Station, London, at Universal Studios for the event.
This Hogwarts Express is the first train ride to connect two theme park lands – something that has never been done before in theme park history.

Now, by calling this a Preview, we’re hoping this means we’ll actually get to see inside some of Diagon Alley’s previously closely-guarded secrets. And as soon as we get back we’ll be sharing them with you, so watch this space!

And fingers crossed this event means that the Diagon Alley grand opening could be just around the corner!
